High performing practices are grounded in data, and led with confidence.

The 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month from 10:00am - 11:30pm Pacific time

If You've Ever Said…

"I have no control over how the therapists on my team practice."

"I know that data is important, but I don't know how to find it."

"I don't want to come across as insensitive or greedy, so I avoid having performance conversations with my team."

You're not alone if this stuff takes up a lot of real estate in your brain. And you're not wrong to want more out of your team, and your practice.
But avoiding exercising your leadership helps nobody, including your clinicians. The truth is, you might not have control, but you do have influence. With the right tools and support, you can bring out the best in almost any therapist and create a business that is healthy and profitable.

This group is for you if...

This is for you if:
  • You're an established clinic owner with foundational systems in place and consistent leads coming in
  • You want to focus on KPIs: conversion, retention, utilization, cancellations, revenue, profit
  • You're ready to stop guessing at what's driving performance in your practice and start leading with data
  • You want to communicate with clarity and confidence to your team — and feel less anxious about how your team will receive your feedback
This is not a "how to start a group practice" group. If you're already up and running and ready to optimize, you're in the right place.

A Framework Built for a Group Practice That Performs

...without you micromanaging, repeating yourself, and doing the heavy lifting.
Feature icon

Pillar 1: Build the Foundation

Weave client retention into your interviewing, hiring, and onboarding process. Develop systems within your practice that encourage consistency and commitment in clients — and make retention, utilization, and attendance part of your practice culture from the ground up
Feature icon

Pillar 2: Measure

Stop eyeballing retention patterns, cancellation rates, performance metrics, and profit. You'll see clear patterns both practice-wide and with each therapist — and you'll know exactly what to do with what you find.
Feature icon

Pillar 3: Communicate

Preaching, lecturing, and dropping hints inspires nobody. You'll learn powerful yet genuine ways to communicate your expectations and concerns to your team with clarity and confidence. Unapologetic leadership that is deeply human.
Feature icon

Pillar 4: Decide

The above three pillars allow you to monitor your practice performance without hovering or micromanaging. We'll explore how to leverage the patterns you’re observing in the data to make grounded decisions that shape the direction of your practice, without second-guessing yourself.

Testimonials

❞
Elana has an incredible way of blending solid business strategy with deep clinical integrity, helping me think about retention in a way that genuinely supports continuity of care while staying fully grounded in my professional guidelines. Her approach to client retention is thoughtful, ethical, and always client centered and care driven. Her insights and guidance are thought provoking, and I always leave feeling grounded, confident, and empowered.
❞
I have known & worked with Elana Sures for the past five years, and she has been an incredible source of business support and mentorship to myself and my business partner. She has a rare ability for combining real strategic insight with genuine warmth, and she meets you with questions, not just answers, so you walk away actually understanding your own business. Most recently, we implemented her retention tool in our group practice, and it has been invaluable in helping us pinpoint exactly where our retention gaps were. If you're looking for a coach and mentor who actually understands the realities of running a group practice, I can't recommend Elana enough.
❞
I've known Elana as a fellow group practice owner for four years, and I am beyond impressed with how sophisticated her understanding of retention truly is. What I find most valuable in her approach is the reframe on client-centered care: staying actively engaged in the process of change with clients, rather than simply following their lead. Through this lens, clients get the quality care that promotes healing and transformation and the clinic performance improves. I recently attended a webinar she built that taught practice owners how to use AI to create their own retention dashboards. It was fascinating to see what's possible as we all evolve how we track the data underlying our practice's functioning. This was further proof of both the depth of Elana's knowledge and her willingness to innovate in building the infrastructure behind it.

Hey, I'm Elana.

I'm a group practice owner who became tired of guessing at my team's performance and decided to put my fear of numbers aside. It changed everything about how I lead and how my practice performs. When I started applying a KPI-driven approach to my own clinic, the data showed me patterns and stories that I didn’t know existed. That level of clarity transformed how I led my team, and my business has never been stronger.
I've spent years helping other group practice owners do the same through individual consulting, and I built The High Performing Practice to bring that work into a group format. If you're running a group practice and you're ready to take performance and success seriously, this group was built for you. I can’t wait to see you there.

FAQ

  • Do I need to have purchased the Client Retention System to join?

The Client Retention System is not a requirement to join, but members who have it will get more out of the group — particularly the data tracking, dashboard work, and coaching conversations. If you're interested in both, our Full System bundle includes the CRS plus your first six months of membership. If you haven't yet purchased the Client Retention System, here is the link: https://client-retention-system.thinkific.com/

  • Does my practice need to be a certain size in order to participate in this group?

There's no minimum size or revenue requirement. However, this group is best suited to practices that have moved beyond the setup phase and are focused on growth and performance, regardless of how many therapists are on your team.

  • How long do I need to commit to the group?

You can cancel your membership at any time. That said, you'll get the most out of this group by showing up consistently for at least six months. That's typically when the coaching and resources can make a real and lasting impact on your practice.

  • How often are the resources updated?

Approximately once a month. The resource library is a living document — I add fresh, thoughtful content regularly so that what you're working with stays current and relevant to what's actually happening in your practice.

  • Can I join the group at any time?

Yes. New members are welcome on a rolling basis, and everything is designed so you can jump in wherever we're at.

  • What makes The High Performing Practice different from other membership groups?

In The High Performing Practice, we don't focus on the 'checklist' of starting a group practice. We focus on taking your group practice to the next level, whether that's through improving client retention, fine tuning your hiring process, or adding to your leadership team. This enables us to use our time productively and to keep the focus on growth, rather than logistics.

  • Will I get coaching in the group?

Absolutely! During the monthly group coaching calls, you'll have the option of asking for coaching on a specific leadership or practice issue. During the co-working calls, you'll have the option of a 10-minute 1:1 coaching session with me in a breakout room. And for each three months you complete in the group, you'll receive a free 30-minute 1:1 coaching call.

Go from tentative to clear. From frustrated to confident. No more guessing or assuming.

Join a group of smart, supportive leaders who are showing up and doing the work.
